Our Routemaster buses seat 64 or 57 passengers, and our white open-top bus seats 72. Every passenger must have a seat by law. If your group is larger than the seating capacity, we can arrange an additional vintage bus or run a second trip.
Our Routemasters are painted in traditional London Transport Red. Our Devon General open-top bus is in its original cream with a red band. You can see them all in the Our Buses section of our website.

Yes — our 1961 open-top bus Sir Martin Frobisher is one of only nine ever built for Devon General. They were affectionately known as the “Sea Dog Class,” each named after a famous seafarer.
No. Like modern city buses, vintage vehicles were not fitted with seatbelts.
Unfortunately, not. These heritage vehicles were built long before accessibility standards existed, and their design cannot be modified. Passengers must be able to board and alight independently.
No. Pushchairs, prams and wheelchairs cannot be used as seats on board, and aisles must always remain clear.
We have very limited storage — space for one wheelchair or up to two, fold-down buggies without reducing seating. If you need more space, we can accommodate this by using passenger seats. Please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
